Four letter word that occured today...

Hint... all four of the precious tribe were home with me, instead of at SCHOOL. What four letter word do you think happened on this brisk wintery day?... K-N-I-T!!!!!!! and yes - it did SNOW too! My Bella's Mittens are already completed... and I was not overly convinced of my liking for the ARAN weight yarn, so I managed to pick up a BULKY weight, JIffy, just for comparison. I have completed ONE mitten in the heavier weight yarn -- ok, you got me - ALMOST complete -- still need to do the thumb!.... but basically it can be considered DONE.

The only thing is.... I thought since I had one PAIR under my belt that my KDF (knitter's distractability factor)would be more tolerant and I attempted to LISTEN to the audio book of Twilight (thanks to my pal!!).. Well, I write ATTEMPT because apparently that type of engrossing material doesn't coincide with my ability to focus on my knitting! grrrr... I guess I will have to save the audio book for the WAllaby stockinette-stitch-fest. I do plan on tackling yet another one.... however, I have misplaced an essential circular needle for the job!

As I was scrambling to find said needle, I DID find my long lost BREA BAG! Oh my!! I decided it was about time to finish up this thing. Rustled out the seed stitch gusset in no time at all! Then got the reverse single crochet seaming all squared away. Woooo - lah. Now all I need is a leather strap.... and I am contemplating a ZIPPPPPPER! Maybe....

Time is RUNNING OUT for the secret stocking idea... Oh well..... This snow day didnt help any in my feeble attempt! We'll have to see how the next week goes? Maybe, just maybe I will get some time in to do that extra special task for my youngest!

Keep your needles crossed for me...
Keep stitchin!
